Unlock your Future with Yoga and Hypnotherapy
A day retreat to unwind, explore and reconnect with your power

Date: Saturday 12 October 2019  Time: 10am-4pm Where: St Peter & St Paul Church Hall, King’s Sutton, OX17 3RJ Cost: £35 including lunch

Welcome.

The King’s Sutton Day Retreat came from a ‘but what if…’ discussion between two good friends.

We’d found ourselves in a place of mutual need. I needed someone to test-run my idea to bring together yoga and hypnotherapy, creating a retreat package proposal that could partner with other experts in the women’s self development world. Wendy wanted to feel better about herself and was absolutely up for the role of test subject. She confessed she was surprised lasting mindset change could come from yoga and two hypnotherapy sessions. I was even more eager to work with her then, ‘doubt’ makes for tough test conditions. Perfect.

Fortunately Wendy was also open-minded and was so bowled over with how she felt after the weekend with me, she wanted to bring the experience to her friends. Now retreats are usually an expensive investment financially, involving luxurious surroundings and overnight stays. But I’m very keen to make what I do as inclusive as possible.

And so the King’s Sutton Day Retreat was created. I’ve taken the essential elements of the full weekend retreat proposal and, with Wendy helping, we’ve created an experience we think is pretty special.

With love, Deana

This day retreat is for 12 women who want to:

  • Explore the power of the mind and how to develop that power for positive personal change
  • Experience gentle but effective female body-focused yoga practices that build strength, flexibility and calm
  • Enjoy an energising yoga relaxation technique designed to free muscle and mind tension
  • Gain deeper self-understanding and insight through a perfect day hypnosis experience.

What to expect

In the morning we’ll be focusing on yoga – yoga designed for women’s bodies.

These practices step away from the linear and explore the curves of the natural world – that includes your body and how it moves. They’re rooted in a feminine vision of yoga and come with modifications for all bodies. Yoga is supremely inclusive; there are no barriers so for every body there is an experience to enjoy. Absolutely beginners are absolutely welcome.

We’ll also be covering yoga practices you can apply in your every day life – to shift how you feel, for the better, in the day-to-day world.

We’ll then close the morning with a long, deep relaxation experience called Yoga Nidra, a powerful stress management tool and meditation technique that has a lot in common with hypnotherapy.

In the afternoon we’ll focus on hypnosis and hypnotherapy. You’ll discover why they’re such a powerful tool for developing your mind and overcoming problems.

You’ll learn how to take yourself into hypnosis and achieve a deep state of relaxation when you want it.

And I’ll take you through a perfect day hypnosis experience where your subconscious mind will take the reins and show you what’s possible for you. If you’ve lost direction or inspiration, getting in touch with your intuition this way can reignite your vision. You’ll get in touch with what it feels like to do what you dream of and that can be a powerful motivator.

A light lunch with vegan and vegetarian options, plus refreshments, will be provided.

Bring a pad and pen if you want to take notes and wear comfy clothes you can move in. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, But we’ll provide one if you don’t.

And there’s more!

If you know you have an issue you’d like to work on with me, one-to-one, I’m available on Sunday 13 October 2019.

There are only 4 spots available and in the spirit of the retreat’s inclusivity commitment, I’m offering these 90 minute sessions at £75. That’s a big reduction on my usual rate. After your one-to-one session, I’ll send you a recording that’s bespoke to you, reinforcing all the good work we’ve done, for you to listen to daily. FAQs

Do I need to have done yoga before?
Absolutely not. Yoga novices are very welcome.

What should I wear?
Something comfortable, soft and stretchy you can move in. Layers are good, so you can add one if you feel chilly. A comfy bra is perfect for yoga, underwired not so much. We do yoga in bare feet but the rest of the day we’ll be in the hall, so socks and comfy shoes are a winner.

I’m not as agile as I used to be. Will I be able to do the yoga?
If you’ve any doubts about your health and yoga, have a chat with your GP and get their advice. This is yoga to strengthen and stretch and offer a way for you to connect with your body; there’s no jumping about and I offer ways to experience the yoga that suit all bodies. I’ve had a hip replacement myself, so I’m particularly mindful of what it’s like to feel different in a yoga class. If you want to discuss your health issues with me and check, you’re very welcome. Drop me and email.

I’m interested in hypnosis, but I’m a bit worried I won’t be in control
Firstly, let me assure you, you will always be in control under hypnosis. The people you see in stage hypnosis shows are highly suggestible and extrovert, they want to perform. You won’t blurt out your bank account details or wake up the next day convinced raw onions are delicious.

What’s the point of a Perfect Day hypnosis?
In life we can get so caught but in the day to day, we lose connection to our selves and our greater aspirations for us. We can become caught up in limiting beliefs about what’s available to us. Frequently our subconscious knows a deeper truth. In this Perfect Day hypnosis I’ll guide you through a day where you can picture yourself in an extraordinary life, with no limits. Its goal is to inspire you.

What if I can’t be hypnotised?
We slip in and out of trance states every day. If you drive you may have found yourself arriving home with no memory of the last part of the journey. When you fall asleep, between awake and sleep there is a trance state. I’ve never met anyone who couldn’t achieve hypnosis.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t be hypnotised?
If you have epilepsy, hypnosis is not advised as the way you focus your vision to move into the first stages of hypnosis might trigger your condition. If you have any doubts about whether you should take part on health grounds, check with your GP.

I want to work with you but I’m not available that Sunday
Thanks to Zoom (very like Skype) hypnotherapy is available from the comfort of your home. It’s a highly effective way of working and I’ve seen clients gain great results this this way.

Sign me up! How do I pay?
Drop me an email and I’ll give you payment details.
